Alternative to legal system for
resolving conflicts and disputes between neighbors, indi-viduals,
families, children (over 6 years old) and youth, or groups;
trained, experienced mediators work as neutral third parties
to guide people in confidential process to reach a mutually
agreeable resolution; Central and Lower Bucks County.

Diversion option in selected cases
of juvenile crime utilizing the Real Justice training model;
juvenile offender takes responsibility for what he/ she did,
hears from those affected, and with the victim decides how
to repair the harm caused by the action. Referrals from police
departments, Bucks County Juvenile Probation, Youth Aid Panels.
9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Training to school personnel, police
and volunteers who then coordinate family group conferences
in schools and communities for victims, offenders, and families;
approach to use with victims and offenders of juvenile crime
and school misconduct, allowing for victim satisfaction and
building of offender empathy.
8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Fee to attend two-day training.

two hours; some issues require multiple sessions; no one turned
away for inability to pay.

Youth-Youth: free; Parent-Youth: $25 /session/family; $5 if on public
assistance or social security; Neighborhood Mediation: $25 per session,
per adult disputant. |
