An Upper Black Eddy man who sexually assaulted a woman in a wooded area outside of Quakertown was sentenced Monday to serve two to five years in state prison.

Jason Tittle, 35, pleaded guilty before Bucks County Common Pleas Court Judge Raymond F. McHugh to sexual assault and indecent assault in the Nov. 6, 2016, attack on a 45-year-old Telford woman.

The victim told police that Tittle forcibly performed oral sex on her without her consent in a wooded area near Spring Valley Drive and Paletown Road in Richland Township.

She testified at a preliminary hearing that she had gone with a friend and Tittle to the area at about 5 p.m. to smoke crack. When her friend left, she said, Tittle began demanding sexual favors.

The victim said that after she refused Tittle’s advances, he assaulted her as she told him repeatedly to stop.

In addition to the prison sentence, McHugh sentenced Tittle to a consecutive five years of probation and ordered that he be evaluated by the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board.

The case was investigated by the Richland Township Police Department and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kristin M. McElroy.

Approved for release by Thomas C. Gannon, Deputy District Attorney.
