March 31, 2018

Contact: Larry R. King, 215.348.6298, lrking@buckscounty.org

Bristol Township Police and Bucks County Detectives are continuing to investigate an incident Friday night in which a 14-year-old girl was critically shot and stabbed in her home. A 19-year-old male cousin who lived in her home subsequently was found in Bensalem with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The girl was transported to St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia, where she remains in critical condition. The young man was taken to Jefferson Hospital Philadelphia, where he was in stable condition today with a gunshot wound to the throat.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m. Friday, the girl's parents returned to their home on Sycamore Avenue in the Croydon section of the township to find their daughter injured.

The 19-year-old, who is the nephew of the parents, was missing when the couple came home. He later was found on State Road in Bensalem, suffering from the gunshot wound.

Police are seeking the public's help with information, including any video surveillance photos from the areas mentioned. Anyone with footage of a white male, about 5'7" tall, weighing 150 pounds, making his way through the neighborhood toward State Road between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. is asked to contact Bristol Township Police at the following numbers: Dispatch (215.785.4040), Crime Tip Line (215.788.8289), or Detective Tim Fuhrmann (267.812.3049).
