In a Hurry?
Expedited service is available to anyone through the office of the Prothonotary. The fee for expedited service is $60.00, payable to the U. S. Department of State.
In addition to expedite the process, applicants may also pay for overnight mailing of the application to the passport agency ($20.00 payable to the Prothonotary) and/or overnight return of the issued passport ($15.45 included with the fees payable by CHECK ONLY to the U.S. Department of State).
Emergency passports:
See How to Get Your Passport in a Hurry. Emergency passports may be obtained in Philadelphia at the Passport Agency within 14 calendar days of your departure date. You will need proof of your departure date such as airline tickets or itinerary. You must make an appointment by calling 1-877-487-2778.
