POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides administrative support and tasks associated with the implementation of the Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in targeted outreach of the lead hazard reduction program county-wide in identifying eligible households.
  • Screens applicants for eligibility and performs intake and program enrollment activities.
  • Works to ensure eligible households are connected to community resources and appropriate health care as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with the county’s Health Department to set up initial risk assessments and clearance activities.
  • Maintains required documentation on families and properties enrolled in the program as required.
  • Provides administrative support for program activities as required.
  • Assists in preparation of resolution packets for review and approval as needed.
  • Assists in processing vendor invoices and payment requests as required.
  • Assists in processing HUD payment requests and maintaining appropriate financial records and databases.
  • Assists in the preparation of project and performance reports, including gathering and assembling of information, data entry and reporting and the preparation and distribution of all necessary support documentation.
  • Assists in communicating with sub-recipients as required.
  • Assists staff in gathering of information to prepare applications for funding under Federal or State programs.
  • Possess ability to understand federal regulations and explain requirements to others.
  • Other duties may be assigned


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health or related human service field.
  • Three years of related government office work or equivalent work experience.
  • Possess excellent writing, computer and analytical skills.General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook,with the ability to understand Internet based data collection and management systems.
  • Any combination of experience and training that affords the applicant an opportunity to gain the above listed knowledge, skill and ability.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the use of a personal vehicle.
