POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs general maintenance to augment the full-time workforce.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • General maintenance of grounds and facilities including, but not limited to, grass cutting, janitorial work, litter removal and construction projects.
  • Operates hand and small power tools.
  • Operates various maintenance equipment (large mowing machines, weed whackers, etc.) over rough roads and uneven terrain.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and buildings.
  • Operates large mowing machines and various trucks.
  • Ability to complete small jobs in related qualifies trades area.
  • Assists in repairs, alterations, additions, etc.
  • May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well-established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job.More detailed instructions as to the nature of their duties will be given to employees at the beginning of work.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High school student or higher education required.
  • Must possess a valid Drivers’ License if operating a vehicle.
  • Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods in various adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions.
  • Ability to complete written reports.
