POSITION SUMMARY:

Collects and interprets the statistical data needed to control the daily staffing and weekly schedules for all the employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates work schedule for RN’s, LPN’s and Nursing Assistants.
  • Coordinates individual staff requests for special time off duty.
  • Coordinates vacation requests and assignments to assure adequate staff coverage.
  • Collaborates with Director of Nursing in setting schedule patterns.
  • Recommends to Director for need to hire replacement personnel.
  • Maintenance of attendance records with tabulation of workdays, holidays, sick time and vacation days.
  • Retrieves personnel data needed for special studies or analyses.
  • Assists in preparation of weekly payroll and adjustments.
  • Communications with business office regarding payroll.
  • May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well-established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job.More detailed instructions as to the nature of their duties will be given to employees at the beginning of work.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in business courses.
  • Staffing experience required.
  • Kronos experience preferred.
  • Verbal ability to communicate freely on any level and to give information and explanations.
  • Proficiency in communicating and maintaining smooth interpersonal relationships.
  • Numerical ability in order to maintain accurate records.
  • Analytical ability to discern problems and trends.
  • Computer experience (typing 35 wpm).
  • Ability to work with little or no direction.
  • Ethical integrity to ensure security of personal information.
