POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists with projects requiring General Service’s Department involvement, ensuring the timely completion of their deliverables.  Works with limited supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with management oversight and direction of General Service’s projects, ensuring projects are completed within established goal dates and deadlines.
  • Assists with approved General Service’s projects and coordinates activity between General Services, other divisions and outside principals.
  • Communicates with all involved parties in an accurate, concise and timely fashion.
  • Maintains all project related materials (e.g. project scope documents, project plans, etc.).
  • Schedules and facilitates all necessary meetings to coordinate projects.
  • Communicates business issues, needs and changes expeditiously to Operations Director and suggest solutions to issues as appropriate.
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Enrollment in or completion of degree in a business administration, project management, construction management field or related discipline from an accredited college, university, or trades/technical school.
  • Knowledge or Experience in program and project management, as well as the techniques and methodologies of driving projects to their successful conclusion supporting 2500+ employees and 650,000+ citizens.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate through all avenues, including oral and written modes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in the use of operating systems including Windows XP and Office 365 suite of programs.
  • Comparable amount of training and/or work experience in other related areas may be substituted for the minimum qualifications at the discretion of the General Service Division.
