Our Mission:

The Commissioners' Office of Public Information strives to create and maintain effective lines of communication between the government of Bucks County, its employees, and the public it serves.

What We Do:

Based in Doylestown, the Office of Public Information promotes awareness and understanding of the County of Bucks by providing clear, timely and accurate information about its policies, programs and other activities to county residents, employees and visitors. The office's main functions include: Loughery1

  • Public information
  • Employee communications
  • Community relations
  • Special projects & events
  • Media relations
  • Crisis communications

Our office interacts with members of the news media; generates news releases and social media posts; arranges the county commissioners' public meetings, news conferences, ceremonies and special events; responds to questions from citizens; and maintains the county's official website. We also prepare proclamations, letters of commendation and Eagle Scout citations awarded by the county commissioners.

Public Information employees help staff the county's two government service centers – one in Upper Bucks (Quakertown), the other in Lower Bucks (Levittown). These offices provide services such as passportsdog, hunting and fishing licenses; and voter registration.

Right to Know requests should be directed to the county’s Open Records Officer. Click here for more information.
