File/Data Entry Clerk

SUMMARY: Part-time (per diem), 20-hour per week position. Primary duty is ongoing filing of numerous documents in working and original files. Other duties include general data entry, look up or retrieve information on computer system. May also initially review PACSES (statewide automated system) support enforcement and/or locate electronic mail alerts on support cases as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Takes initial prescribed actions on PACSES generated worker alerts in areas of support enforcement and/or parent-locate matters as directed.
- May perform similar or related general data entry or retrieval duties as assigned.
- Makes routine telephone calls as instructed.
- Performs filing and file maintenance duties.
- Organizes and processes outgoing office mail as instructed.
- May be assigned to assist a team with routine clerical duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in data entry on a computer terminal (Windows 95 based system).
- Ability to operate a keyboard and to do light typing (35 wpm minimum skill level).
- Ability to organize and accurately file documents numerically and alphabetically.
- Must be flexible as to work hours.
