October is Pandemic Flu Drill Month
You can't Predict, But You Can Prepare
The Bucks County Health Department along with Bucks County Emergency Management conducted the 2nd annual Pandemic Flu Drill on October 27, 2007 from 10am-2pm. Last year County staff along with 300 community volunteers helped to make the drill an overwhelming success giving a total of 3907 immunizations in 5 hours. The County was able to provide vaccinations to residents of all ages ranging from 9 to 93 years old.
After the wonderful success of last year’s drill with 3 sites, this year the county opened a total of 4 clinics. There were 1,250 doses of flu vaccine at each of the four sites. At each clinic located in a school there was also pneumonia, tetanus, and Tdap shots available.
