Bail Posting

Bail can be posted at the Clerk of Courts Office, located on the 4th Floor in the Courthouse at the between regular business hours from 8am to 4:30pm, excluding Holidays.

Posting bail at the Correctional facility

• Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Holidays
You can post bail at the Bucks County Correctional Facility between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.

Type of Payments Accepted

• Only cash or Certified check is accepted for posting bail.
• To post real estate as collateral, you need to provide the following information: Certified Copy of an Appraisal of your real estate, certified copy of a Title Search and a copy of your deed. Your home must have equity equal to the full amount of the bail.

Bail Refund

If the bail money is posted in the defendants name, all costs, restitution, fee, and fines need to be paid before the return of bail money.

If a "third party surety" posts the bail, they will receive a refund of the money within 35 days of the final disposition, with the exception of a court finding on Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. (ARD)
