Emergency Medical Services Week Proclamation

The Bucks County Commissioners have proclaimed May 15 through 21,
2005 as "Emergency Medical Services Week" throughout Bucks County.
A proclamation was presented at the commissioners' meeting held at
the Bucks County Courthouse on May 18, 2005.
EMS teams provide lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. Their work dramatically improves the survival
and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury.
The EMS system consists of emergency physicians and nurses, emergency
medical technicians, paramedics, firefighters, educators, and administrators.
Bucks County EMS responded to 41,440 emergency calls in 2004.
