Health Department to Spray Mosquitoes in Warminster
The Bucks County Department of Health, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Protection will conduct an adult mosquito
spray in Warminster Township on Thursday, August 11.
Spraying will take place in a residential neighborhood in the early -evening
hours, provided environmental and weather conditions remain suitable. Streets
between County Line Road and Street Road, Valley Road and Norristown Road will
be treated. Ultra Low Volume truck mounted equipment will be used; there will
be no aerial spraying.
High Populations of adult mosquitoes capable of transmitting West Nile Virus,
combined with the detection of the virus in positive pools of mosquitoes, prompted
the need for spraying.
