HEAT ADVISORY FOR BUCKS COUNTY SENIORS
An excessive heat warning has been issued by the National Weather
Service for the Southeast Pennsylvania region, including Bucks County,
from Friday, August 12th through Sunday August 14th.
The Bucks County Area Agency on Aging advises seniors that extreme
hot weather can cause serious heat-related illnesses such as heat
stroke or heat exhaustion. The best precaution during a heat wave
is to remain indoors with an air-conditioner or in a ventilated room
with a fan. Also, unless restricted, drink plenty of water.
If you are experiencing symptoms such as faintness, dizziness, nausea,
weakness, heavy sweating, etc., CONSULT A PHYSICIAN!
Free fans are available through the Area Agency on Aging for senior
residents of Bucks County. Call the AAA at:
