Bucks County Ready For Flu Season
Free Clinics Scheduled

The Bucks County Commissioners today announced the scheduling of free influenza immunization clinics throughout the county, beginning next month.

"Public health is important to everyone and we commend the county Department of Health for its year-round work and its facilitation of these immunization clinics. We join them in encouraging people in the high risk category to get a flu shot this season," said Commissioner Chairman Charles H. Martin.

The first clinic will be held Oct. 28 in Bristol, while others will continue at many other locations throughout November and into December. Some clinics are scheduled for the Bucks County Government Service Centers in Quakertown and Levittown and at the Health Department in Doylestown.

Also, some clinics will offer pneumonia immunization for eligible persons, including those over 65, pregnant women and anyone over the age of nine with a chronic long-term health problem.

The clinics are sponsored by the Bucks County Wellness Partnership, including the Bucks County Department of Health, Bucks County Area Agency on Aging, Warminster Hospital, Frankford-Bucks County, Doylestown Hospital, Grand View Hospital, Lower Bucks Hospital, St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital, and St. Mary Medical Center.
