Bucks Human Services Agencies Offer Help In Aftermath Of Hospital
Shootings
Bucks County has offered the help of Human Services professionals
to those affected by yesterday's tragic shooting incident at St.
Mary Medical Center.
John Dougherty, Jr., county director of emergency services said anyone who
is experiencing certain symptoms and feels a need for help or support should
call the confidential Crisis Hotline: 215-785-9765.
Among the symptoms one might experience: Headache, body ache, and loss of appetite,
sleep difficulties, depression, and fear.
Along with the Bucks County Mental Health Department and Bucks County Critical
Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), the Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA)
is ready to provide aid.
Hospital personnel and patients were witnesses to the event at the Middletown
Township hospital in which a police officer lost his life and two others were
wounded.
