Commissioners Announce Partnership Between Emergency Services and Local Fire Houses
Fire Companies Open Doors as Heat Respite for Public
The Bucks County Commissioners announced a partnership between the county’s Emergency Services Division and local fire houses to provide citizens relief from the heat. The county’s Emergency Services Director, John Dougherty, has arranged for local firehouses to open their doors to the public during this time of excessive heat.
The following locations will remain open to the public through tonight:
- Chalfont Ambulance, 101 North Main Street, Chalfont (215) 822-1308
- Plumsteadville Fire Company, 5064 Stump Road , Plumsteadville (215) 766-8250
- Warwick Fire Company, York and Mill Roads, Jamison (215) 343-9971
- Parkland Fire Company, 831 Avenue D, Parkland ( 215) 757-5152
- Bucks County Rescue Squad, 143 King Street, Bristol (215) 788-0445
“I want to commend John for his responsiveness and his concern for our citizens in Bucks County,” noted Chairman James F. Cawley, Esq. Mr. Cawley added his thanks to all the fire and rescue companies for their spirit of generosity.
Anyone with questions is urged to call the locations directly, and not 911 unless an emergency exists. If there is no answer at a location, please try back, as rescue workers may be on a call.
