Bucks County Commissioners Announce Voting Machine Demonstration Sites
Public Invited to Test Danaher ELECTronic 1242 Units at Bucks County Courthouse and Lower Bucks Government Service Center in Levittown

The Bucks County Commissioners, continuing their intensive efforts to familiarize voters with the county’s Danaher ELECTronic 1242 machines prior to the Nov. 7 General Election, have established two government-office demonstration sites.

Beginning today, during regular office hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), county citizens are invited to visit either the Board of Elections office on the second floor of the Bucks County Courthouse (55 E. Court St., Doylestown) or the Lower Bucks Government Service Center ( 7321 New Falls Rd., Levittown).

“We want to make the voting machines as accessible as possible for our electorate,” said Jim Cawley, Esq., chairman of the county commissioners’ board. “This is a convenient option for voters to preview the user-friendly technology they will be experiencing in November.”

In addition to the demonstration sites, the commissioners urge citizens to learn more about the machines by visiting the Bucks Votes, Voter Education Page, where they can view the commissioners’ “BUCKS VOTES” educational video at any time, as well as access a handy information brochure with voting steps included.

Citizens also can view the training video via ON DEMAND from Comcast. The video will be located in the “Bucks Votes” folder under the Get Local menu of ON DEMAND. The video will be available through November 7.

For additional information about the courthouse site, please call 215-348-6165. For more information about the Lower Bucks Government Service Center, which is under the direction of Eddie Fluke, call 215-949-5800.
