Amidst Positive Feedback, Bucks County Commissioners Announce Upcoming Voter Education Sites

After three full weeks of the Bucks County Commissioners’ BUCKS VOTES education initiative, public reaction has been overwhelmingly favorable.

“The new machines are outstanding,” said retired Neshaminy School District history teacher John Matthews of Langhorne, who tested the Danaher ELECTronic 1242 machine with his wife, Elaine, during the Sept. 14 Senior Expo sponsored by Sen. Robert M. “Tommy” Tomlinson at King’s Caterers in Bristol Twp.

“I think they’re very good,” added Evelyn Kallish of Bensalem.

Levittown ’s Elizabeth Croke was also impressed with the machines, observing at the Senior Expo, “I do think they’re easy to use. They really are.”

Today, the commissioners announced another week of public education sites, which are targeted to reach all 54 county municipalities before the Nov. 7 General Election.

These dates are in addition to the two permanent sites established for demonstrations, at the Bucks County Courthouse on the second floor, and at the Lower Bucks Government Service Center in Levittown.

“We are excited to continue to extend this phase of public outreach, and particularly delighted by the large quantity of positive public feedback we have received,” said commissioners’ Chairman James F. Cawley, Esq. “Voters can expect to continue enjoying access to hands-on voting machine training, expert guidance and comprehensive materials regarding the Danaher machines.”
