Commissioners Announce Flu Shots Still Available Throughout Bucks County -- Appointments Needed
The winter months are prime time for catching and spreading the flu virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that the best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccination each year, and the Bucks County Health Department still has flu vaccine available.
The Health Department reminds parents that school-age children are prime carriers of the flu virus. Children, five-years of age and older, can receive a pain-free intra-nasal flu mist.
Flu vaccine, shots or mists, can be received at any of the Health Department’s scheduled immunization clinics during January and February and the beginning of March. Clinics will be held throughout Bucks County, with schedules listed below. Appointments are needed.
