Commissioners Announce Upgrades to Bucks County Web Site
E-Alerts Offer Updates, News to Registrants

The Bucks County Commissioners have announced several upgrades to the county’s official Web site, www.buckscounty.org. A new look and feel has been incorporated into the site, using the county’s new slogan and banner, Bucks County: Moving Forward. Additionally, a new feature called e-alerts now allows users to sign up for news and updates to the website in a variety of topics. The public can also view a photo library of the county’s capital improvement undertakings by visiting the homepage and looking for the Bucks County capital projects link.

“These enhancements are all part of our efforts to ensure transparency and increase our direct communications with residents,” noted Commissioner Chairman Charles H. Martin. “Bucks Countians can register for e-alerts to receive news and updates, a simple way to stay informed about their county government.”

E-alerts allows residents to select from a host of topics found on the county site, ranging from job postings found in Human Resources and commissioners’ news releases to row officer announcements and information on Parks and Recreation. Once registered, participants will receive periodic emails containing links to the pages where updates can be found.

“We designed this program so that residents have a choice of the types of things they’d like to hear about,” noted Martin.

Questions about e-alerts can be addressed to Juliet Frey, the county’s web content administrator in the Commissioners’ Office of Public Information, 215-348-6415.
