Bucks County Board of Elections Certifies Municipal Primary Results
Deena Dean, director of the Board of Elections, announced that results from the May 15 Municipal Primary have been certified. Included in that process is the addition of write-in results, and research and certification of provisional ballots, and a 2 percent audit as required by law. Members of the public were afforded the opportunity to observe the official count process in the Board of Elections office.
Candidates who wish to challenge the results should seek advice of legal counsel, to file a petition in the Prothonotary’s office in Doylestown, Dean stated. The deadline for filing is close-of-business Monday, June 11.
In the event that results are challenged, results will not be updated from their unofficial status until the challenge is completed. Once completed, results will be in the Board of Elections office and posted to the Web site accordingly. If there is no challenge, Official results will be posted to the county’s Web site, www.buckscounty.org, by Wednesday, June 13.
