Bucks County Commissioners Host Local Students
Participants in the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Conference Spend the Day at the Bucks County Courthouse
The Bucks County commissioners hosted 16 area high school students at the Bucks County Courthouse on Tuesday, June 19, providing them with a unique, inside look at county government.
The students were participants in the Youth Leadership Conference, which is sponsored by the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce. Breaking into small work groups, each hosted by a county commissioner, they received an intensive lesson on the many aspects of governmental and social services provided by Bucks County.
“The students in the Youth Leadership Conference are the leaders of tomorrow in Bucks County,” noted Commissioner Chairman Charles H. Martin. “As such, we encourage them to learn as much as they can about the many ways county government serves their communities.”
During the day, the students also met with Judge Rea Boylan, observed proceedings in the courtroom of Judge Albert Cepparulo, and toured the Sheriff’s department and the 911 communications center. Attendees included:
