Bucks County Register of Wills Barbara Reilly to Shift Aug. 15 Wednesday Evening Hours from Doylestown Courthouse to Middletown Grange Fair
IThe Bucks County Register of Wills, which holds evening office hours on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, will close its courthouse office at 4:30 pm. Wednesday, Aug. 15, in order to conduct its evening hours at the Middletown Grange Fair in Wrightstown (Penns Park Rd.). The Register of Wills office will provide its services through the duration of the fair at its booth in Tent C.
Barbara G. Reilly, Bucks County Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphans’ Court, and her staff will be available to answer questions and take applications for marriage licenses during all regular fair hours. Complete office services for both the Register of Wills and Orphans’ Court will be available at the Middletown Grange by appointment. The Grange Fair will be open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 15-16, from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 19.
The Orphans Court issues marriage licenses for couples being married in Bucks County. Reilly urges couples not to procrastinate in applying for their marriage license. As your wedding day approaches, couples are reminded that they must obtain a Pennsylvania marriage license in order to be married in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. They must appear together with $60 in cash, proof of age (photo ID) and a Death Certificate or Divorce Decree if previously married. After a three-day waiting period the license is valid for 60 days only.
