Bucks County Health Department to Spray for Adult Mosquitoes in Croydon, Bristol Twp. on Evening of Sept. 4

As another public-safety measure of its environmental treatment program, the Bucks County Health Department advises residents of the Croydon section of Bristol Twp. that department representatives will be applying adult mosquito spray between the hours of 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, weather permitting. The application is intended to reduce the number of mosquitoes in the area, insects that could carry the West Nile Virus.

The area to be addressed is bordered by Rte. 13, Rte. 413 and I-95. According to Health Department experts, the application will involve less than one ounce of pesticide per acre, which will have no effect on pets or pools. Residents should expect to see county trucks performing the service. To avoid directly inhaling the pesticide, they are advised to close all windows from 7:00-10:00 p.m.
