Bucks County Approves 3 Percent Salary Increase

The Bucks County salary board, comprised of the Bucks County commissioners and controller, met today to consider salary board actions for the courts, row offices and commissioners’ departments. Topping off the morning meeting was the unanimous approval of a 3 percent salary increase for all non-represented positions. The increase comes with several exclusions, including seasonal help other than life guards, Board of Assessment board members, department solicitors, and several grant positions.

The increase was able to be achieved with no increase in taxes. Commissioners adopted the zero-tax-increase 2008 budget on December 19. The 3 percent salary increase goes into effect on January 1, 2008.
