Commissioners Salute Neshaminy Manor RN’s for Achieving State Board Certification in Geriatric Nursing

On April 11, 2008, the Board of Bucks County Commissioners, James F. Cawley, Esq., chairman, Charles H. Martin and Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia, LCSW, presented letters of commendation to three registered nurses who serve with distinction on the staff of the county’s award-winning, Neshaminy Manor long-term care nursing facility.

Neshaminy Manor nurses Patricia Davis, RN, Donna Seamans, RN, and Mary Beth Weltz, RN.Accepting the commendations, which were presented for “going above and beyond in service to the residents of Neshaminy Manor by receiving your board certification in geriatric nursing,” were Donna Seamans, RN, Mary Beth Weltz, RN and Patricia Davis, RN. They were joined in the Neshaminy Manor lobby by county Director of Health and Human Services Joe Funk, members of the facility administration, staff and resident population.

Seamans, a Newtown resident, has been a member of the Neshaminy Manor staff since 2000. Weltz, of Chalfont, currently serves as the assistant director of nursing. Davis, of Oreland, has been a member of the nursing staff since 2003.

“It is with great pleasure that we recognize these three nursing professionals for their commitment to Neshaminy Manor and its high standards of care,” Chairman Cawley said. “With more than 44 million Americans having reached the age of 65, geriatric nursing certification is one of the most significant achievements within the health care arena.”
