The Bucks County Department of Health, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) West Nile Virus program, will administer an adult mosquito spray at the Oxford Valley Pool complex in Fairless Hills on Wednesday, July 15. The event, which is intended to treat mosquitoes that could carry or amplify West Nile Virus, will begin at dusk, weather permitting.
A “barrier” treatment involving the chemical Flit will be applied to the complex’s wood line. In addition, a walking backpack ultra-low volume (ULV) spray will take place within the woods employing the chemical Biomist 3+15.
