Wanted: Bucks County Business Owners
“Bucks County Business Survey” Available through Aug. 31, 2009 at www.BucksCounty.org

As an extension of the work being conducted by the Bucks County Economic Development Advisory Board (EDAB), county business owners of all sizes and services are invited to complete a brief “Bucks County Business Survey” intended to collect detailed data about the current business climate. EDAB Co-Chair and Bucks County Commissioner James F. Cawley, Esq., asks members of the county business community to take a few minutes to access the convenient survey on the Planning Commission page of the official Bucks County Web site, www.BucksCounty.org. (See the survey results.)

“This is an important component of our information-gathering process, as we ultimately look to make a list of recommendations that will benefit all who conduct business in Bucks County,” Commissioner Cawley observed.

The Bucks County Business Survey, which went live on the Web site today, will be available online through August 31, 2009. It includes questions about business demographics, number of employees, type of business entity, future plans, scope of business needs, use of county business support organizations and programs, and general comments about doing business in Bucks County.

Formed on Feb. 18, 2009 at the Bucks County Courthouse, EDAB currently is holding bi-monthly meetings with community business leaders in order to accelerate the fact-finding process. In addition to Commissioner Cawley, it is co-chaired by U.S. Representative Patrick Murphy, and includes Delaware Valley College President Dr. Joseph Brosnan; Bucks County Opportunity Council Executive Director Roger Collins; Heritage Conservancy President Clifford C. David, Jr.; Bucks County Bank Executive Vice President Peter Dominick; Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dr. Vail P.
