County Commissioners Seeking Public’s Input As Redesign Of Web Site Is Planned

The Bucks County Commissioners are asking residents and other users to help shape the vision for a redesign of the county’s official Web site, www.buckscounty.org. A survey was posted online to gauge how the site is used, how residents feel the site is currently serving them and most importantly, what future needs are.

“It is important that we learn what features and enhancements our constituents want, so that we can best determine how to meet their needs going forward,” noted Commissioner Chairman Charles H. Martin. He added that participation from all those who use www.buckscounty.org  will be greatly appreciated.  According to Public Information’s Juliet Kelchner, the county’s Web administrator, an average of 80,000 unique visitors access the county’s Web site each month.

The official county Web site was last redesigned in November 2005. Since then, advancements in technology and the World Wide Web, most notably the advent of social media, offer users more features and access to information.

The survey was available online until Friday, October 16.
