Board of Elections Reminds Citizens to Register for November 3 Municipal Election

As a reminder to the citizens of Bucks County, the Board of Elections encourages all eligible voters to participate in the democratic process. To that end, Bucks County citizens are advised that Monday, October 5, 2009 is the last day to register to vote for the November 3, 2009 Municipal Election. The Board of Elections will offer extended registration hours on that final registration day until 9:00 p.m. at three locations:

Bucks County Courthouse, 55 East Court St., Doylestown
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
October 5 only – 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Lower Bucks Government Services Center, 7321 New Falls Road, Levittown
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
October 5 only – 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Upper Bucks Government Services Center, 261 California Road, Quakertown
Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
October 5 only – 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

“I join my Commissioner colleagues in encouraging all eligible voters to register for the November 3 Municipal Election,” stated Commissioner James F. Cawley, Esq., chairman of the county Board of Elections. “We are pleased to offer these extended hours to facilitate that process.”

Those wishing to register can do so during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Again, hours are extended to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 5, the final day to register for the November 3 Municipal Election. Questions can be directed to the Voter Registration office at 215-348-6163.
