Bucks Issues “Code Blue” Cold Weather Declaration

Based on information received from the National Weather Service, Bucks County today is issuing its first “Code Blue” declaration. The determination was made jointly by the Emergency Management Agency and the Health Department.

The declaration period begins tonight, Friday, through Sunday morning. County Emergency Management Director John Dougherty has notified local public safety officials of the Code Blue declaration.  

The county also has made notification to the “on-call” church, Langhorne Terrace Baptist Church, 1271 E. Maple Avenue, Langhorne, which will coordinate transportation, temporary shelter, and food, among other necessities. For shelter information, please use the telephone number:  215-550-3869.
