After chairing the board for the last four years (two as a county commissioner and two as a citizen member), Sandra A. Miller was elected vice chair for 2010. County Controller Raymond F. McHugh, Esq. will continue as the board secretary. The board also elected community member Karen Dopson to a one-year term, continuing her service to the advisory group.

The board, which oversees the operations of the Bucks County Correctional Facility (BCCF) and the Men’s and Women’s Community Corrections Centers, also consists of Commissioner Chairman Charles H. Martin, Commissioner Vice Chairman James F. Cawley, Esq., Commissioner Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia, LCSW, President Judge Susan D. Scott, county Chief Probation Officer Sean Ryan, Public Defender Stephen H. Shantz, and Community Member Walter Stevens. The board’s monthly meetings also include an update on Department of Corrections business from county Director of Corrections Harris Gubernick.
