Red Cross Shelter Opening In Bucks County
With over 20,000 residents still without power as a result of yesterday’s blizzard, the Bucks County Emergency Management Agency has announced a shelter will be opened to the public for anyone unable to make alternate arrangements with family, friends or a hotel. The shelter will officially open at noon today, Feb. 11. Residents are advised to bring medications, special dietary items, bedding, linens, towels, forms of entertainment like games and magazines, and anything else to make for a comfortable stay. Pets are not allowed.
Anyone with questions can call the Red Cross at 215-946-4870. Please do not call 911 for non-emergencies. To receive up-to-the-minute emergency alerts from officials, sign up for the five-county regional emergency alert system ReadyNotifyPA by going to www.ReadyNotifyPA.org.
