County Community & Business Development to Offer “Roadmap to Recovery” Workshop April 13
Are you a business owner who would like to learn more about government procurement procedures? Are you searching for expanded business opportunities in the government sector? If so, on Tuesday, April 13, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce (LBCCC) will offer a free workshop at its headquarters (409 Hood Blvd., Fairless Hills, 19030). Part of the LBCCC’s ongoing “Roadmap to Recovery” workshop series, this event will focus on marketing and selling your products to Pennsylvania state government agencies and Bucks County government departments. Topics to be detailed by an expert panel will include:
- Goods and services purchased by government agencies and departments;
- Navigation and understanding of government procurement regulations;
- Tips on finding government business opportunities;
- Exploration of government programs to help small business;
- Discussion of the qualifications to become certified as a women-owned or minority-owned business;
Scheduled members of the panel will include:
- Ed Kolb, bid manager, Bucks County government
- Curtis Burwell, equal opportunity manager, Department of General Services, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Faye M. Fitz, government marketing specialist, Procurement Technical Assistance Program, Temple University Small Business Development Center
Pre-registration is requested to attend; however, there is no charge. The workshops are sponsored by Fulton Bank.
