During a brief mid-day ceremony, the Bucks County Commissioners cut the ribbon to reopen Bucks County Bridge #364 (Limekiln Road over Pine Run) in Doylestown Township. The bridge was shut down on May 10, 2010 for structural repairs and upgrades to the bridge infrastructure and the adjacent roadway. Joining Commissioner Chairman Charles H. The total approximate cost and duration for the bridge rehabilitation project was $290,000.00 for 60 days, respectively. Work items included: Replacement and resetting of guide rail posts and rail elements, milling and repair of concrete bridge deck, placement of latex modified concrete overlay on entire bridge deck, placement of new expansion joints at either end of the bridge deck, repair of concrete abutment backwalls, crack sealing and coating of concrete bridge parapets, milling and overlay of approach asphalt roadway at both sides of the bridge.
“We are pleased to be able to complete the work on this bridge in such a short period of time, and are glad to provide a safe mode of transport through Doylestown Township,” said Commissioner Chairman Charles H. Martin.
