County Health Department to Conduct Mosquito Sprays Sept. 15 in Warrington and Warminster Townships

In response to multiple mosquito traps that have tested positive for West Nile Virus, the Bucks County Health Department will conduct a pair of sprays in residential areas of Warrington and Warminster townships on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 15. These events will take place at dusk in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), weather permitting.

In Warrington Township, the area to be treated includes Neshaminy Ave., Warrington Ave., Philadelphia Ave., Brinkworth Ave., Chestnut St., and Walnut Ln.

In Warminster Township, the treatment area will include Syzmanek Park and the Bucks Landing Apartments. For both sprayings, the Health Department will use a green pickup truck with Bucks County decals. The chemical to be applied will be Biomist 3+15.
