Bucks County to Present Workshop on Marketing Business to Canadian Partners
On Thursday, November 18, 2010, the County of Bucks Business Development department will present a workshop on “Canada: Bucks County’s First Export Market,” at the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce (Bailiwick Office Campus Suite 23, 252 West Swamp Road, Doylestown, PA 18901). The event will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 10:30 a.m. Nancy Ward, the director of the Canadian Trade Office of the Council of Great Lakes Governors who is also Pennsylvania’s Authorized Trade Representative in Canada, will be featured via a live webinar. Ms. Ward will discuss the “Tips, Traps, and Trends to Doing Business in your Closest International Market.” Additional speakers appearing at the Central Bucks Chamber will include:
- Jack Capers, Account Manager, International Sales, UPS Worldwide Services. Mr. Capers will address “Logistics: Your Product, to the Right Place, at the Right Time, at the Right Cost”
- Amy Sahm, Vice President, Foreign Exchange, International Group, Fulton Bank. Ms. Sahm will present on “International Banking with Trade Finance, Foreign Exchange, and Letters of Credit”
- Dale Foote, International Trade Specialist, World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, will conclude the program by focusing on “Resources for Bucks County Businesses” who are involved or are ready to become involved with global commerce.
The workshop is the final program in the “Making Buck$ In and Out of Bucks” series sponsored by Fulton Bank. Pre-registration is requested due to limited seating; there is no charge to attend the event, however.
