Bucks County to Conduct “Shaping Business Success in the New Decade” Workshop
Thursday, June16, 2011, 8 a.m.-10:30 a.m. - Bucks County Community College Upper Bucks Campus, Perkasie, PA

Business growth and retention is often the number one issue on the minds of entrepreneurs and small business owners especially when capital dollars may be scarce for marketing and public relations. In Bucks County, many small businesses are involved in retail, manufacturing, biotechnology, and healthcare, and these businesses both have a business-to-business and business-to-consumer reach. Small businesses can learn from larger companies with marketing professionals on staff.

On Thursday, June 16, 2011, the County of Bucks Business Development Department, in conjunction with the Bucks County Commissioners, the Pennridge Chamber of Commerce, and the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, will present the third workshop in Shaping Business Success in the New Decade series. A “Business Marketing Panel Q&A” will be held at the Bucks County Community College, Upper Bucks Campus (1 Hillendale Road, Perkasie, PA  18944).  Networking and registration begins at 8 a.m. The program begins promptly at 8:15 a.m. and concludes at 10:30 a.m. The panel, comprised of various marketing experts from successful Bucks County companies, will discuss how the business environment is impacting their marketing planning and research strategies, including branding, advertising, public relations, social media, and customer recruitment/retention efforts.  Members of the panel include:

  • Joannie Anthony, Marketing Manager, Secant Medical, LLC
  • Carmella Faust, Vice President and Customer Experience Manager, Univest National Bank and Trust Company
  • Jason Martineau, Marketing Director, Penn Stainless Products
  • Dorrit Trate, Marketing Director, St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital
  • Gina F. Rubel, Esq., President/CEO, Furia Rubel Communications, Inc. (moderator).

The workshop is proudly sponsored by Univest Corporation.  Pre-registration is requested due to limited seating; however, the program is FREE.
