Bucks County Recorder of Deeds Office to Hold Veterans ID Discount Card Event in Newtown Thursday, February 16

The Bucks County Recorder of Deeds staff will continue its 2017 Veteran ID Discount road tour with an event at the Newtown American Legion Hall on Thursday, February 16. Veterans will have the opportunity to receive a free ID card as well as learn more information about organizations that can provide assistance. The event is scheduled as follows:

Please note: Presentation on Bucks County Tour of Honor at 11 a.m.


The event also will feature an 11 a.m. presentation on two upcoming Tour of Honor events intended for Vietnam War, Korean War and World War II veterans.

Interested veterans must bring their original DD-214 form in order for the Recorder of Deeds staff to proceed with issuing the cards. Information about the program is available by calling 215-348-6209. 

Approximately 1,400 Bucks County businesses now offer considerable discounts (5-20 percent on merchandise and services) to more than 14,000 eligible veterans who hold the Bucks County Veterans ID card. A list of participating businesses is available on the official County website. To register a business to participate in the Veterans ID Discount Card Program, please call the county Recorder of Deeds office at 215-348-6209 or visit www.BucksCounty.org to fill out a form stating intent to take part.
