Applications Being Accepted Now for New Session of Sheriff's Citizens Academy Beginning September 11th

August 24, 2017

A message from the Bucks County Sheriff's Office---

Bucks County Sheriff Edward “Duke” Donnelly is excited to announce that his office will hold its “Sheriff’s Citizens Academy” starting Monday, September 11, 2017.  This Academy will meet every Monday at the Justice Center, 100 N. Main Street, Doylestown starting at 7 PM and run for 10 weeks.

The Academy began as a way to show the public basic training that the deputies must successfully complete prior to beginning service. This Academy also shows what the various deputy duties consist of, including interacting with other offices and agencies. During this portion of the academy, the relationship between the other offices and agencies is addressed giving citizens a well-rounded view of all that is involved in not only being a deputy, but in the Sheriff's Office as a whole.

There is no cost to attend the Sheriff's Citizen Academy. It is open to all who are interested, but space is limited. If you wish to attend the Citizens Academy, complete the application found on the Sheriff's portion of www.buckscounty.org and submit it to:
