Bucks County Recorder of Deeds to Participate in Three More Events to Issue Veterans ID Discount Cards

During the next week, the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds office will participate in a trio of events to offer residents the opportunity to acquire a Veteran’s ID Discount Card. Those events include the March for the 22 Veterans Suicide Awareness Walk (Sunday, October 22 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. in the Bucks County Memorial Courtyard, 55 E. Court St., Doylestown, PA 18901), at Team Toyota in Langhorne (Tuesday, October 24 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., 746 East Lincoln Hwy., Langhorne, PA 19047), and at State Rep. Gene DiGirolamo’s Senior Expo in Bensalem (Thursday, October 26 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 1850 Byberry Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020).

Those in attendance also can receive details about other Veteran benefits as well as the Bucks County Tour of Honor and future trips to Washington, D.C. (www.BucksCountyTourofHonor.org). The event information is as follows:

Interested veterans must bring their original DD-214 form in order for the Recorder of Deeds staff to proceed with issuing the cards. Information about the program is available by calling 215-348-6209.  To date, approximately 1,400 Bucks County businesses offer considerable discounts (5-20 percent on merchandise and services) to more than 14,000 eligible veterans who hold the Bucks County Veterans ID card. A list of participating businesses is available on the official County website. To register a business to participate in the Veterans ID Discount Card Program, please call the County Recorder of Deeds office at 215-348-6209 or visit www.BucksCounty.org to fill out a form stating intent to take part.
